Day Out - Historic Visits, Eating and Drinking

History lovers are spoilt for choice. Discover the magnificent Windsor Castle, one of the world’s most famous royal residences, or, if you fancy something a little more unusual, venture underground and explore the fascinating Hellfire Caves at West Wycombe and visit to local village.

Stonor Park is one of England’s oldest continuously inhabited family homes and there are National Trust properties such as Greys Court which has over 900 years of history and Hughenden Manor which has a fascinating Second World War story.

If good food and drink are more your thing, you won’t have to travel far. Hurley has some excellent local pubs, perfect for a relaxed lunch, evening meal or well-earned drink after a day exploring. Beer lovers can head to Rebellion Beer Co. in Marlow Bottom, where you’ll find its brewery shop and Tap Yard, while wine lovers can visit Chiltern Valley Vineyard where you can discover locally produced wines, beers and liqueurs, browse the on-site shop or book one of their popular tours and tastings.

Not sure where to start? Call in at Reception during your stay and have a chat with our team. We’re always happy to share our favourite local places and help you make the most of your time at Hurley Riverside Park.
