Conditions of Booking, Park Rules and Terms and Conditions

GENERAL

  1. In these terms and conditions “us”, “our” and “we” refers to the company “Hurley Riverside Park”.
  2. By booking with us you agree to our Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to refuse any booking and the right of admission is reserved. Any individual whose conduct infringes our Terms and Conditions or acts in an abusive or violent manner towards a member of staff or another customer will be required to leave the park immediately. We reserve the right to change our Terms and Conditions and will notify you should we do so.
  3. We only accept bookings from couples, families and sole occupants. The first named person is responsible for the booking and must be over 21 years of age. Under 18s must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.
  4. All persons using these premises do so entirely at their own risk and no responsibility will be accepted by Hurley Riverside Park for any loss or damage to vehicles, equipment or other effects however caused. Accidents must be reported to the Touring Park reception before the end of your stay or within 24 hours whichever is sooner.
  5. Generators, radios, music, wood fires, fire pits and Chinese lanterns are not permitted on the park. Barbecues must be raised from the ground.
  6. Noise should be kept to a minimum between 10.30 pm and 7.30 am. The playground and Nature Trail may only be used between 7.30 am and 9.30 pm and should not be used after dusk. Please do not use the washing up areas after 9pm / dusk.
  7. Ball games involving children over 4 years old (or no children) should only be played in the play area or may be played in the Paddock when it is not occupied by units.
  8. Children are the responsibility of their parents and must not be left unsupervised. We ask that you closely supervise children when they are using the playground and Nature Trail. The River Thames is particularly dangerous to non-swimmers and the stream alongside the Park should not be entered. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult when using the Shower Blocks.
  9. Gas bottles are only permitted on the park if stored inside your caravan or motorhome.
  10. Loss or damage, for which a customer, party member or visitor may be responsible, must be paid in full before departure.
  11. The fee for bringing a boat includes access through the barrier to the small slipway. Payment for river craft is only required if the slipway barrier needs to be lifted to let a boat through. A £10 deposit is required for a barrier pass. All river craft must have a valid river licence and insurance and as the public footpath runs alongside the river, boats and trailers are left by the river at the owner’s risk.
  12. All customers must adhere to any national or local rules in place during your visit relating to COVID-19 or other infectious conditions Customers will be asked to leave the Park if these rules are not adhered to. You are not permitted to self-isolate on the Park.

VEHICLES

  1. All vehicles are admitted at our discretion. Caravans, motorhomes or RVS over 8 metres in length must inform us at the time of booking. Motorhomes and campervans must be registered as such with the DVLA.
  2. Only cars are accepted on the park. Commercial, converted, sign-written or untidy vehicles will not be admitted even if booked. A limited number of parking spaces are available outside the reception but no spaces are available for vehicles over 2 metres in height. Car park spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis and you must have a permit from reception displayed in your vehicle. This permit is only valid while your car is in the car park and does not guarantee you a space if you move your vehicle.
  3. Customers are not permitted to charge an electric car up on the pitch, please use the Pod Points in the car park
  4. Towing vehicles must remain on the park overnight and items must not be delivered to the Park that cannot be removed with your vehicle.
  5. Vehicles must not exceed 5mph. They should not be driven between midnight and 7am or to cause a nuisance to other customers. Bicycles must also not exceed 5mph and it is the parents’ responsibility to ensure their children obey the speed limit. Motorised scooters and trikes, hover boards, drones and quad bikes/motorbikes that are not licenced for the road may not be brought to the Park.

TOURING PARK

  1. Customers must ensure that their tent, caravan or motorhome is pitched as directed. Only one unit is permitted per pitch.
  2. Customers must not put anything between units that will infringe on the 6 metres spacing rule including gazebos.
  3. The maximum width of accommodation allowed on the Park is 6 metres including any awnings or sleeping pods.
  4. One car is included in the cost of the pitch. One additional car is permitted onto the Park for a fee. Second cars are not permitted to park in the car park for free. Commercial vehicles are not permitted to park on your pitch
  5. All day visitors must report to reception on arrival to pay the appropriate fee.
  6. Dogs must be kept on a lead when on the Park (including on your pitch) and kept under strict control at all times. Dogs must not be left unattended on the Park. Please clear up after your dog. A maximum of two dogs are permitted per pitch.
  7. Tents are only permitted in Oak and Chestnut. Caravans and motorhomes are not permitted in Oak.
  8. We allow two families to pitch together while a third pitch can be approved at the Touring Park Warden’s discretion, as long as the total number of adults does not exceed 6. We ask that larger groups are not formed on the Park and customers may have their booking cancelled with no refund should this happen.
  9. We normally only allow a maximum of 2 adults per pitch unless approved by a Touring Park Warden.
  10. An extension cable of 15 metres is required for most pitches so please ensure you bring a suitable cable.
  11. Pitch numbers are allocated shortly before arrival and it is not possible to request a pitch number. Customers wishing to stay next to another family must have both pitches on the same booking. It is not possible to request to be next to another family after the booking is made.

BOOKABLE EXTRAS

  1. Awnings: Only professionally manufactured awnings are permitted on the Park and must be below 4 metres wide. It is not possible to have both a pup tent and an awning on a pitch. The maximum permitted width of the main unit and awning combined is 6 metres. Charges apply.
  2. Gazebos: Not all pitches can accommodate a gazebo, while some allow a 3m x 3m gazebo, therefore they must be booked in advance. Gazebos must not infringe the 6m gap between units, must not have a floor and not have more than 2 sides. Charges apply.
  3. Pup tents: One pup tent under 1.5m x 1.5m is permitted on the pitch for a fee but must not be placed at the side of the unit if this increases the total width of accommodation to more than 6m. Pup tents are only permitted in Pine, Elm, Chestnut and Oak. Only children (maximum 2) may stay in a pup tent.

HIRE CARAVAN HOLIDAY HOMES

  1. Customers may bring a maximum of 1 car per unit. An additional car may be parked in the car park if there is space. Please see rule 14. for our rules on permitted vehicles.
  2. Smoking is not permitted in any Hire Caravan Holiday Home
  3. One dog is permitted in our K9 Hire Caravan Holiday Homes, but pets are not allowed in any other hire unit. Dogs must not be left unattended in Caravan Holiday Homes or gardens. Owners must clear up after their dog. We are unable to accept cats in our Caravan Holiday Homes.
  4. Beds appropriate to the number of occupants are made up with duvets and pillows. Clean bed linen can be provided for additional weeks however a cleaning service and bed making service are not available. Towels are not included but are available to hire.

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES

  1. The earliest arrival time on the Touring Park is 1.00pm. The latest departure time is 12.00 noon. Arrivals after 7.30 pm will not be admitted.
  2. Hire Caravan check in is between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm. Check out is at 10.00 am at the latest. Arrivals after 8.00 pm will not be admitted.
  3. Customers must only use their barrier fob to enable access for their vehicle and no others.
  4. There is no guarantee that a booking can be extended beyond the dates originally booked.
  5. On departure you must ensure that your Hire Caravan / Touring Park pitch is left in a clean and tidy state or an additional charge may be made.

BOOKING, FEES AND CANCELLATION CHARGES

  1. We accept MasterCard, VISA, Maestro and V-Pay. We do not accept American Express or cheques.
  2. Touring Park bookings are only taken in advance for a minimum of 3 nights in Peak Season (Bank Holidays and school Summer Holidays) and for 2 nights at all other times.
  3. Touring Park fees include two occupants and one car. Please see rule 14. for our rules on permitted vehicles.
  4. Full payment is due at the time of booking for all Touring Park bookings. For Hire Caravan bookings full payment is due at the time of booking for online bookings. For Hire Caravan bookings made over the phone a £200 per week deposit is due at the time of booking with the balance due 28 days before arrival. A payment request will be sent via email.
  5. Cancellations must be made in writing
  6. In the event of cancellation or curtailment, the following cancellation charges will be made:
  • Up to 14 days before arrival: 100% of holiday cost is charged, no refund is given
  • Over 14 days before arrival: 50% of holiday cost is charged, 50% refund is given
  • The minimum cancellation charge is £30 for Touring Park bookings and £200 for all Hire bookings.
  1. Any booking amendments must be made 28 days before arrival and an administration fee of £10.00 will be applied. It is not possible to amend or postpone a booking within 28 days of arrival. If any tariffs are updated after the time of booking, the new tariff will be applied to your booking if any amendments are made.
  2. We recommend you take out cancellation insurance as refunds will not be made if you cancel your booking or are unable to adhere to our Terms and Conditions. No refunds will be made for early departure.
